HAEJIN PARK
Haejin Park, from South Korea, is a painter and illustrator whose work explores vulnerability through fluid, emotive watercolors. Her fragmented figures and expressive faces, bruised with inks and bleeding color, act as tender archives of memory, presence, and absence. Each piece becomes a diary of emotional honesty. Park holds an MFA from Yale University (2025) and holds a BFA from RISD (2015). Recognized as one of The New York Times’ Best Illustrators of 2020, she has created work for clients including WeTransfer, VICE, BuzzFeed, Cartoon Network, and Spotify. Her illustrations have appeared on platforms such as the BBC, KakaoTalk, and the Society of Illustrators. A 2021 finalist at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, Park has shared her practice through talks at RISD, The New School, and the international Pictoplasma Conference.
