ALEX PUZ

Puz is a Baltimore-based painter whose work explores the space between emotion and cognition through color, optics, and linear abstraction. His process-driven approach creates dense, chromatic fields grounded in systems of color and line. He holds an MFA from Yale School of Art and a BFA from CUNY Hunter College. Puz is a former NXTHVN Studio Fellow, a YPEI Teaching Fellow, and a Rema Hort Mann Foundation nominee. His work has been featured in Vogue, ArtMaze, The Yale Daily News, and liveart.io, and is held in the collections of JP Morgan Chase and Yale Health.
