PETER HALLEY

Halley’s abstract diagrams explore both the physical and psychological structure of social space. The work evokes the alienation of prison cells, city living, and technology. Halley consistently works with Roll- a-Tex, an industrial paint used for decoration, and applies fluorescent hues with a roller instead of a paintbrush. This piece starts with a primary color making the prison surrounded by secondary colors.
